Still in Williams' Lake. Kinda nervous, excited and scared. Barely packed and not sure where I'm going, or what I'm doing as of yet.
Everything is set, I pick up a present at greyhound tomorrow, I get to see Darcy for three hours. Will be good to see him again.
Brief bio of the village: 100km NW of Terrace, British Columbia. This being said, around 200 people in the whole village. The First Nations' group are the Nisga'a, and only 5% of the people speak the language. There are wi-fi stops around the village, and also one lonely store that sells pop, chips and the such. (Any food would cost double to Terrace, due to extra transport, and it's a remote village - so they would not need much.)
Why am I going?
I'm taking two linguistic classes, that I can not usually take at the PG campus. One is introduction to Linguistics, and the other is The sentence structure of a First Nations' language. I'm also taking Nisga'a culture and Computer Applications.
Computer Applications? Yeah. I don't have to do a science then. :p
But yeah. Introduction. I'm excited for this trip. I'll update when I can.
